Welcome to the Make Music Cambridge website!

Our very first edition took place on Saturday, June 21, 2008, and thanks to all, it was a great success. The day was beautiful, music swarmed the streets of Harvard Square, and several thousands people coming to enjoy this special experience on the first day of summer!

Special thanks to the musicians who came and share their art. Without you, there is no Make Music! We had about 75 bands of all stripes playing on 17 spots throughout the day. They created their own audience, interacted with them, and found a new public. Their diversity really made the special flavor of that day. Thank you!

Thanks also to the volunteers who gave their time (and sometimes their patience!) to help us put this day together and make sure it unfolded as smoothly as possible. You were great, thank you!

And thanks of course to our sponsors, whose support made this festival possible!
